- Chapter 21 - Amusement Park Murder Case [2]
Faced with Qin Ke’s seemingly never-ending’s questions, Qin Luo did not show impatience, not in the slightest. In fact, he was being very patient as he gave the kid the answers he wanted while driving towards the direction of the amusement park.
In no time, he drove them to the amusement park, and stopped the car at the amusement park’s gate. Qin Ke immediately cheered and put his arms around Qin Luo’s neck, kissing him on his face with a loud smack, excited.
Ink acted differently, though. He was a stranger to the amusement park as, in his memory, there was no such thing as an amusement park at all. However, in spite of his lack of knowledge, under Qin Luo’s lead, he still followed the crowd and walked closer to this extremely noisy place.
Qin Luo, seeing that Ink seemed to be a little nervous, patted his shoulder and said. “There are a lot of interesting things in this place. We’ll try them all later.”
Hearing Qin Luo’s words, Qin Ke who was being held within Qin Luo’s arms nodded his head excitedly and exhorted. “Yeah, it’s rea~lly fun here! But I haven’t been here for a long time.”
Ink didn’t understand, but his perception was very keen, and he could hear all kinds of sounds clearly coming from inside the place called ‘amusement park’. However, in his perception, everything that happened inside seemed to be strange and difficult to understand.
His senses were informing him that some people were sitting in strange things that moved and collided with each other. Yet, instead of being angry, they bursted out into laughter. Some others he could sense were sitting in strange things that floated around, but before long, they then would burst into shrill screams.
It was all so strange to him that he couldn’t help but frown as several appellations flashed past from his memories. Unable to stop himself, he blurted out, “Are they crazy? Or psychopath? Or perhaps they are patients with severe mental disorders?”
As Qin Luo was standing close by his side, he was able to hear Ink’s words clearly even with the noises that the visitors waiting outside the amusement parks with them made. Thus, he couldn’t help but laugh and stretched his hand to rub Ink’s hair. “This is not a hospital.”
Feeling the gentle touch on his head, Ink’s eyes squinted in comfort before he asked, “Then, why are they laughing and screaming like that?”
Amused, Qin Luo put his arms around Ink’s back and dragged him along to the amusement park’s ticket office. Despite that, he still answered Ink’s question. “That’s a way for them to express their joy and release their accumulated stress.”
Ink listened closely, yet he still felt like he was stumbling in the mist, puzzled. However, though he honestly did not understand, he still nodded his head and pretended that he understood.
In any case, they had arrived before the ticket office. And since Qin Luo had booked a pass to the amusement park in advance, he was able to get three tickets from the ticketing window with his reservation, thus saving him the trouble of queueing up to buy tickets.
Unfortunately, despite doing that, they would still need to wait in line to get onto the attractions in the amusement parks, since there was a queue in front of every attraction. Fortunately, that day was not a holiday, so there were fewer people around. Hence, queueing up was not hard at all.
Ink had never come into contact with the amusement park before. Therefore, Qin Luo wanted to start playing every game from the beginning until the end, at least once. However, Qin Ke shouted that it was up to him to choose. As such, in order to make the little guy happy, Qin Luo acquiesced.
Despite being young, Qin Ke was very courageous, immediately choosing a roller coaster as their first ride. At first, Qin Luo thought that children should not try playing such an exciting game like that one. However, Qin Ke had repeatedly attest that last year, his mother had already taken him to play this game. Moreover, Qin Ke had even claimed that he enjoyed the game greatly as it made him feel as if he was flying in the air.
Hearing this, Qin Luo sighed, already feeling helpless. He was completely unable to complain about this old big sister of his. Just from listening to Qin Ke’s description, he knew that the ride the other’s irresponsible mother had taken the little guy to play on happened to be the most exciting roller coaster she knew.
Children’s brains were relatively more fragile compared to adults or even teens, so it was truly not advisable for them to play games like the roller coasters. After all, some roller coasters were so powerful that it was easy to hurt the little ones’ brains, not to mention that high speed might also frighten them to their cores.
Honestly, Qin Ke should really not be able to pass the security check and play it, but he did and Qin Luo had to wonder how his old big sister managed it and let the little guy sit on the ride. However, looking at Qin Ke’s appearance, he knew that the little guy was not lying and her sister managed it somehow.
So, although Qin Luo really wanted to forbid Qin Ke from riding the roller coaster, he couldn’t because of the kid’s excited expression and bounce in his step. Just looking at his bouncing and vivacious self, he knew that there was nothing connecting him with the fragile brain and shock that children might get from extreme rides.
