Do You Want to Try It?
💖
While Cheng Jingbo paid the bill, Bo Ziren casually walked to the long table in the corner and browsed through the handicrafts placed there.
Next to her were a pair of high school-looking girls who were happily browsing as well. They each chose a woollen felt doll and went to pay for it.
Bo Ziren took a closer look at the dolls, but found them too cute and not suitable to her style.
“What do you want to buy?” Cheng Jingbo asked as he came up behind her. He followed her gaze.
“I don’t want to buy anything, I’m just taking a look.”
“Don’t you like anything?” He looked at the long table filled with all sorts of items.
“It’s not that I don’t like anything, but these things are more suitable for little girls.”
“You’re similar to a little girl,” he said, “Since you’re here, at least buy something.”
Bo Ziren thought for a while and finally picked out a brown paper bookmark in a glass jar. On top of the jar was a small green hat made out of wool, it’s brim inlaid with lace. It looked very unique.
“Just this?
“Yes.”
Just then a waiter walked by and said, “These have all been personally made by our lady boss. Every one of them is a unique item. We have a 30% discount now. Take a look.”
Bo Ziren flipped over the bookmark in her hand and found the name of the designer printed in a corner.
As Cheng Jingbo patiently waited for her, he flipped through a book album in front of him.
In the end, Bo Ziren ended up only choosing practical things. Including the bookmark, she also picked out a blue and grey cloth cover.
When she looked back at Cheng Jingbo she saw that he now held the album in his hand. She went over to take a look and saw that it featured pictures of the daily life of a couple. The handsome men and beautiful women in it were very eye-catching.
“That’s the photo album of our boss and lady boss,” the waiter explained when he saw.
“So they are the elders of this non-domestic family?” Bo Ziren was surprised. “She looks very young and yet she is already a mother. The child in her arms is so beautiful.”
Cheng Jingbo wasn’t surprised at all though. He smiled and said, “More and more people are getting married early. Last year’s graduates broke the school’s record. Six of them received marriage certificates before July.”
“They are really brave.”
“Do you think getting married requires a lot of courage?” Cheng Jingbo asked.
“Yes, doesn’t it?” She had never associated herself with marriage before.
“As long as you carefully determine the other half, it would be a natural thing to do together. It’s really more about choosing the correct time, rather than needing courage. It depends on when you meet the right person.”
Bo Ziren felt that what he’d said made sense and lowered her head to think it over.
He regarded her silently, deciding not to pursue the subject further.
They flipped through the rest of the photo album until they reached the last page which featured a photo of the couple in diving suits, kissing underwater. The caption below the photo read, ‘This was taken on Saipan Island two years ago. The baby was one year old. We’d just started to take over Fei Yu.’
Underwater kissing…it looks very romantic, Bo Ziren thought to herself. She wondered how it felt.
“What are you thinking?” he asked.
“It’s nothing. I just think they’re romantic.” She set aside the illusion that had appeared in her mind. After all, she had never even tried to kiss on land, much less kissing underwater.
“Romantic?” He whispered to her, “Do you want to try?”
Bo Ziren was at a loss for words.
He retracted his gaze and said in a thoughtful tone, “First, there must be a suitable place.”
She immediately heaved a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, that meant it wouldn’t happen now.
It didn’t matter if she wanted to or not. The truth was, she wasn’t sure if she could successfully even complete a kiss.

When they were finished shopping, they pushed the door open and walked out into the wintry scene. The snow shined brightly, making her feel a bit dizzy.
He suddenly turned around and suggested, “The entrance to the bookstore is very suitable.”
“Huh?”
But she had a hunch what he meant, and the very next second proved that her hunch had been correct.
For the first time ever, he didn’t ask for her opinion.
She trembled and pulled at his collar with both of her hands for stability.
When it was over, he let go of her, but her hands still clutched the collar of his coat, and she stared at him in a daze.
He pressed his hand against her hair and gently said, “It’s over for now.”
“Can you turn around and let me adjust my mood?”
This was her usual method.
“Are you sure you want me to turn back every time?”
“……”
He thought about it for a moment and finally relented.
“I won’t do it again,” he warned.
