The Seventieth Night (2)
He took out his cell phone and was about to make a call to Yu Yao but before he could call her, he received Feng Ping’s call. After considering for a moment, he answered the phone.
Feng Ping’s tone was not good as he said immediately, “Feng Jing, get back home at once.”
Feng Jing said, “I know what I’m doing, you don’t have to worry.”
“You know what you are doing? Do you know how dangerous it is for you to be alone? I have already contacted the police and they have some clues, you get back here immediately.”
“Do you want me to stay at home obediently now? Sorry, I can’t.”
Feng Ping groaned and said, “The person who kidnapped them has just called the house.”
Feng Jing paused, then asked, “What did they say?”
“You come home first, I’ll wait for you at home.”
Feng Jing frowned, but in the end, he still turned around and drove home.

When Feng Ya set the bodyguard aside this morning, she never expected that things would develop like this. After she and Jiang Ran were taken into the car, the others took their phones away and forced them to shut them down. Their wrists were tied and she struggled a little, frowning at the person in front of her.
“Who are you? What do you want?”
The leader said, “Miss Feng, don’t be afraid, we just want to take you to some place.”
“Where?” she asked tentatively.
“You will know when you go.”
The car drove for about an hour before finally coming to a stop. This was an old neighborhood surrounded by low buildings. There were several homeless men on the roadside with drunk men ambling around mumbling.
Simply put, it looked like a complete mess.
“Let’s go.” The man pushed them, directing them upstairs.
The corridor was very narrow, and there were a lot of miscellaneous items stacked on either side. On the way up, an auntie, perhaps in her forties, looked confused upon seeing them. Feng Ya wanted to ask her for help but she seemed to be very scared of the few men and ran away very quickly.
“Here it is.” On the third floor, the man knocked on the door on the left.
The door was soon opened and an overwhelming stench of alcohol gushed forth. Feng Ya and Jiang Ran frowned at the same time.
“Go in.” The people behind pushed them in, and the smell of alcohol got stronger.
Jiang Ran looked around. The furnishings in this house were very simple and old. There was an aged sofa and near the window, a table with several bottles of alcohol on it. On the ground were a bunch of empty bottles and some empty takeaway boxes.
There were two people sitting at the table, one she didn’t know and the other… Wang Zhen?!
“Wang Zhen?! You?!” When Feng Ya saw Wang Zhen, her eyes widened in surprise.
Wang Zhen was still a little dazed and didn’t seem to have reacted. It was the person beside him that stood up at once and smiled at them, saying, “Isn’t this my sister-in-law, why are you tied up? Hurry up and loosen her!”
Both Feng Ya and Jiang Ran’s hands were released, and the man waved the people escorting them over to leave, then smiled ingratiatingly at Feng Ya. “Sister-in-law, this is a mistake, I just wanted to invite you over for a visit, I didn’t think that they wouldn’t know the rules.”
Feng Ya didn’t accept it. She looked at him coldly and said, “What do you mean? And, I’m not your sister-in-law, I’m divorced from that scum.”
“But you haven’t divorced yet, have you? As long as you’re married you’re still my sister-in-law.” The man continued smiling like that. “You’re invited here today for this too.”
“Invited?” Feng Ya sneered and showed him the red mark on her wrist. “This is how you invite people?”
The man said a little awkwardly, “Brother Wang said that he called you, but you ignored him and you didn’t want to see him, so this was the method we had to go for.”
“I don’t want to see anyone like you,” Feng Ya said and tried to take Jiang Ran out, but after opening the door she realised that the men who had brought her here hadn’t left and were instead guarding outside.
The man who spoke to them walked over still smiling and said, “Sister-in-law, why are you in such a hurry to leave? See, Brother Wang still hasn’t woken up. You should at least wait for him to wake up and you can talk about your happy memories together.”
Feng Ya turned around to glare at him. “Do you know what you are doing? You have kidnapped us! If you let us go now, I can still act as if nothing happened!”
The man went ‘heh’. “Sister-in-law, don’t say such nasty things. How is this kidnapping? I’ve said, I’m only inviting you over here to talk with Brother Wang.”
Feng Ya now knew that they weren’t about to be leaving anytime soon. She glanced at Wang Zhen sprawled drunk on the table, walked over to open a bottle of mineral water on the table, and upended it on him.
“F*ck, what are you doing!” Wang Zhen, who was drenched over his head, finally woke up.
