Chapter 7 – Snake
In a daze, Yi Jiegeng boarded the bus on her way back to the shop.
There were a lot of people on the bus and the breeze coming in from the open window was slightly cool and refreshing. She sobered a bit when her phone rang, and the ringtone was a Korean child’s milk song.
She pressed the unfamiliar number and asked absentmindedly, “Hello, who is it?”
Silence engulfed the other side, and she followed silently as well. Hearing only shallow and even breaths, she couldn’t help but follow the difficult breathing.
“Well.” She heard his voice and said calmly, “It’s me.”
“Yeah.” She didn’t know what to say but answered honestly, “No need for thanks.”
He didn’t say sorry but said thank you instead. She was right; he didn’t feel guilty at all. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have kissed her so gently.
For Anyang Chunyuan, this was no different from day-to-day physical contact such as shaking hands and touching shoulders, just flesh to flesh. So he didn’t have to feel sorry. He just needed to thank her for his cooperation.
After hanging up the phone, he turned his head and said to Li Kong, who had been holding his laughter until it hurt. “You came up with the idea. Why are you laughing here now ?”
“I’m wondering why you chose Ye Jiegeng. That girl seems honest and clumsy, and her brain isn’t very fast. Maybe it was her first kiss.” Li Kong bellowed, “You devil, be careful. She’s more powerful than the little sister you just shooed away, and she was stalking you to death.”
“She’s not that kind of person.”
“How do you know. Some people are very brainless, and Ye Jiegeng looks very similar to one.”
Anyang Chunyuan smiled lightly and didn’t say anything. He just knew that she was the kind of person who liked someone but could never have the courage to confess. Even if a person does something exceedingly extreme to her, she will not complain and will choose to suffer in silence instead.
She was a completely harmless creature, no difference from the little flowers and grasses that are slaughtered on the roadside.
He was sure of this from the beginning, which was why he approached her.
The result was the same as expected. Even though she was bullied, she just sat on the sofa cautiously and tugged at the corner of her clothes. From Miss Tang entering the door to slamming it angrily and walking out, during this period, no matter how Chunyuan talked nonsense, what girlfriend, or cohabitation, she listened silently and cooperated unknowingly.
In other words, if she was dumb, she was incredibly smart, and if she was smart, she was foolish enough not to get angry.
The only thing she could do was say goodbye and leave in a panic. She didn’t even dare to look up at Chunyuan. It seemed that she was the one who did the bad things, but the one who actually did it was too self-righteous, so she didn’t even ask questions and get angry after being used.
She just smiled faintly, slumped her shoulders humbly, lowered her head and said goodbye to him and Li Kong.
Li Kong couldn’t bear it. After all, it was him who proposed this bad idea. Just when he wanted to send her out, he heard the voice of Chunyuan crossing the river and demolishing the bridge, saying, ‘I won’t send you out.’ She still smiled softly, and the sound of footsteps on the stairs was a bit chaotic.
Li Kong felt that Chun Yuan was a bit too deceiving, and asked him jokingly, “Hey, you devil, is it true that except for your sister, all other people in this world are not human?”
“No.” Chun Yuan, who was about to go into the bathroom to take a shower, turned back.
Without a smile on his face, he said, “Apart from Chun Fei and Xiao Jing, no one else in this world is considered a human being.”
Li Kong was stunned for a while. Although he knew the answer was this, he was still shocked by his indifference.
Chunyuan never lied to him. In this world, he only cares about Anyang Chunfei and Su Jingxi in the UK. Even his best friend Li Kong was nothing in his eyes. He was such a strong person, so strong that he almost seemed to be invincible. Only Li Kong knew that the stronger a person like him was, the more deadly he was, and the more deadly he could be destroyed.
He was a cold-blooded snake; no matter who put him in their arms, he would bite without hesitation when he woke up.
Ye Jiegeng, you can’t afford to love such a person.
